Lead alloy plate production - by rolling the ingot with small reduction per pass

Plates of Pb alloy are produced by rolling the cast ingot with a very small reduction per pass until the final thickness is obtd. Pref. the max. reduction per pass is about 2 mm. The ingot is composed of a Pb alloy contg. Sn and Ca, pref. 0.4-1.0% Sn, and 0.06-0.1% Ca.
