PURPOSE:To obtain a reinforced plastic rod excellent in tensile strength, in the reinforced plastic rod reinforced by a fiber, by adding long and short reinforcing fibers so that the long reinforcing fiber is dispersed so as to be oriented over the total length of the axial center part of said plastic rod in the axial direction thereof and the short reinforcing fiber is dispersed so as to be oriented along the axial direction in the peripheral part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A plastic molding material 3 containing a short reinforcing fiber 2 is extruded from an extruder 4 to the material flow passage 24 of a die 6 and a long reinforcing fiber 1 is continuously sent to the material flow passage 24 through the feed hole 26 of a mandrel 22 and sent into the molding flow passage 5 of a forming die 23 in such a state that the molding material 3 is allowed to cover the outside of the long reinforcing fiber 1. The long reinforcing fiber 1 is positioned at the center part of the molding material 3 in the molding flow passage 5 and the rod-shape molded product 7 molded into a rod-shape in the molding flow passage 5 is extruded from the leading end of the molding flow passage 5.
