Remote control for external driving mirror - operates with single joystick linked to mirror housing on two orthogonal axes

The remote control external driving mirror has a hollow housing and is mounted on a special foot with angular and tilt adjustment. A single joystick (6) is linked to the inside of the housing on two ball and socket joints (7, 17) about two orthogonal axes and extends into the vehicle through a slot in the foot and door mounting. Twisting the stick rotates the mirror, while tilt control is obtained by pivoting the joystick. The adjustment provides a simple control with few moving parts and is economic in construction.
