<p>The bar feed for lathe machine tools has a guide tube for receiving the workpiece (23). The guide tube is held within a casing tube by sound damping hoses extending parallel to the guide tube. The damping hoses are of elastic material, with a closed cavity which is pressurised by liquid or gas to fix the guide tube in the casing tube, and is depressurised for removal. The guide and casing tubes are both multi-part, and the damping hose has a longitudinally extending external projection engaging a corresponding recess in a casing tube part to fix the damping hoses in the casing tube.</p> |
