<p>Cast or injection moulded vehicle tyres of elastomers consisting of a tread and a carcase extending from bead to bead, and which in the tread zone is without cord reinforcements, has in the zone of the tread a cylindrically formed belt has a 30% higher modulus of elasticity measured at 20 degrees C and 50% stretching, than the rest of the carcase. The carcase has a modulus of elasticity between 30 and 135 kg/cm2 measured at 50% stretching and 20 degrees C whilst the belt has a modulus between 120 and 400 kg/cm2 similarly measured. Prevents the setting up of shear stresses in the cheecks, and consequent dynamic fatigue, as well as too much flexibility in the carcase causing excessive wear on the tread.</p> |
