<p>PURPOSE:To keep a course to lay the cable easily and exactly even though visibility is not good by leading the cable-laying ship on the set course with signals emitted from two standard points which are provided on the land to measure the location of ship. CONSTITUTION:The ship location measuring standard points a, b are provided on the land 6, signals emitted from these points are received by the ship station 1 of ship location measuring system 3 of measuring equipment B in the ship A, and the position (x, y) of the ship A is obtained on a plane in which the origin is 0, the abscrissa and ordinate are X and Y respectively. Next the coordinate transformation from Y-axis to course C to lay the cable is computed by the coordinate transformation arithmetic unit 4. By this way, a deviation of the ship from the course C can be obtained as x' of a new abscissa X'. When this x' is recorded in a recording paper 7 which is being fed with the lapse of time by the deviation status recording unit 6, the course 8 of ship is illustrated on the paper. Therfore the ship can be easily operated, the course to lay the cable can be always kept easily and exactly even though visibility is not good.</p> |
