<p>The conductor retention block is for electrical connectors esp. miniature types where the conductors enter in rows and columns. The block (2) butts onto the back surface of the connector via a mounting flange (6) and has rows and columns of 'T' shaped slots (3) the 'T' bases pointing towards the block centre line. The horizontal bar of the surface defining the bar of the 'T' is split at its centre and the two wings (11, 12) bent into the slot, past which the wiring has to be forced. Each slot has two corrugated wall inserts (4) providing contact and retaining surfaces.</p> |
