<p>The chain is made up of the vertebrae of a small animal and is assembled using two parts (2, 5) on either side of each vertebrae which fit together. One part (2) has a groove (3) and a claw (4) while the other part (5) has a foot that can be lowered (6) and an upper part (7). To fit two vertebrae together the foot on one is lowered so that a projection (8) on it fits into the groove of the next one. The claw then holds the flat part of the foot and the upper part of one fits into a corresponding shaped part (9).</p> |
