The device is intended to make it possible to detect quantities of calories in foodstuffs quantitatively, with a table. On the left hand side of the table, the calory summing scales for carbohydrates (4'), fat (5') and albumin (6') are recorded extending longitudinally and separately. These are graduated in such a manner that they correspond to the ratio of carbohydrates : fat : albumin as 60:25:15. Each summing scale is provided with a rider (9, 10, 11) by means of which the quantities of calories to be consumed can be marked. The right-hand edge side of the table (1) exhibits a calory summing scale (7) for the total calories and is provided with a displaceable rider (8). When the total of the calories of carbohydrate, fat and albumin meets the specified ratio, values corresponding to one another are located on a straight horizontal line on the left-hand scales and on the right-hand scale. <IMAGE>
