A stepping motor drives the feeder of a dosing device for materials capable of flow. The device comprises a hopper and the feeder is a worm or a pump whoch transfers the materials from the hopper. To regulate the speed of the stepping motor and to maintain a constant throughput, or to stop the motor after a predetermined quantity has been delivered, a detector for the material throughput or for the total delivery is provided. In the line of flow of the material, a feeder driven by an auxiliary motor making a single revolution is fitted. This is driven alternately to the feeder turned by the stepping motor. Used for dispensing from a hopper all kinds of liquids and pastes, as well as powdered or granular masses such as flour, salt, sugar, sand, etc. The materials are delivered under constant conditions and with greater accuracy.
