PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent strength reduction and cracking of a titania or titania silica denitration catalyst carrier, in high temp. regeneration, by specifying the Ca and Si contents to TiO2 followed by molding into a desired shape and calcination. CONSTITUTION:A divalent metal chloride such as barium chloride is added to a slurry of metatitanic acid contg. about 30 wt% TiO2 to recover TiO2 as well as to fix sulfuric acid in the slurry. To this TiO2 are added a Ca salt such as calcium chloride and a silicate such as silica gel contg. 20 wt% SiO2, boric acid or a borate, and they are mixed. The mixt. is then molded into a desired shape and calcined at 600-850 deg.C. The resulting denitration catalyst carrier contains 0.5-8 wt% Ca and 0.5-100 wt% Si as SiO2 or below 1 wt% B to the TiO2 content.
|
