ELECTRODE FOR SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FIRED FILM FOR SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL, AND SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell manufacturable in a short period without generating difficult-to-treat by-products and having high catalytic activity while securing excellent fuel gas permeability, a method of manufacturing the electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell, and a solid polymer fuel cell.

SOLUTION: This electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell comprises a gas diffusion layer 2 having conductivity and permeability and a catalyst layer having a metal catalyst 6 carried on a catalyst carrier. The gas diffusion layer 2 is formed of a fired film made of a carbon nano tube. The metal catalyst 6 is carried on the fired film functioning as the catalyst carrier.
