The heat transfer system is used especially for hot water central and process heating systems. The heat exchanger tubes carry heating steam. The part (14) of the inlet tube nozzle (13) which projects into the vessel is thermally insulated. This nozzle is closed by the upper tube plate (9) of the tube nest (7). The thermal insulation consists of a tubular envelope (12) enclosing the inlet tube nozzle section (14). It forms a double wall tube with enclosed space (15) which in turn is also closed by the tube plate (9). The vessel cover (5) has an air gap (16) joining the insulation gap (15).
