PURPOSE:To perform exchanging operation exactly and rapidly by permitting driving gear to be fixed at a definite position up blast furnace by providing a tuyere holder at the tip portion of a rod supported its rear part on a base having a cushion mechanism on its bottom and also a rod driving gear at the middle part alike. CONSTITUTION:An air blowing duct connecting the tuyere support tube 13 to the rear part of the small tuyere 9 is removed and the base 15 is moved by operating the cushion mechanism 16 in order to attach the tip of the tuyere holder 20 for the rod 19 to the small tuyere 9 for holding. The fitting portion 25 of the rod driving gear 21 is attached to the rear part of the large tuyere 10 and the rod 19 is moved outwards by the gear 21 to draw out the small tuyere 9. The base 15 is balanced by properly changing the position of the balance weight 22 at the rear of the rod 19. The base 15 is then is retreated to let the holder 20 hold new tuyere and then the base is again advanced to fix the gear 21 to the large tuyere 10. And, the rod 19 is moved inwards by the gear 21 to attach the small tuyere to a predetermined gear position for the large tuyere 10. |
