PURPOSE:To enable to obtain the demagnetizing effect with good efficiency, by forming the demagnetizing coil with the short side part and long side part of the magnetic shield and with the circumference part of the opening for neck inside the magnetic shield. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic shield 3 of funnel shape which is magnetically coupled with the shadow mask 9 is coaxially placed with the glass package, and the demagnetizing coil 4 is wound at the external surface of the magnetic shield 3. The coil 4 consists of the short side part a along partially the short side of the external surface of the magnetic shield 3, long side part b along the entire long side, and circumference part c along the circumference of the neck opening 5 of the magnetic shield 3. Further, the parts a and b are connected with each other as they were, the parts a and c are connected via the link parts d and d', and the part c is along only the lower part of the opening 5, avoiding the button opening 8 of the magnetic shield 3. Further, the part d' is arranged with crossing to change the direction of the current at the part a. Thus, the demagnetizing effect with good efficiency can be obtained. |
