1413965 Layered edible products UNILEVER LTD 26 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 4183/72 Heading A2B A packed edible product comprises a first liquid layer in contact with but of a different colour to a second liquid layer, both layers having a similar continuous phase, the first layer containing a dispersed colouring agent, and the osmotic pressure in the two layers being more or less equalised by adjusting the contents of sugar thereof. The first layer may comprise yoghourt, quark, custard, blancmange, sauce or cream, and may be whipped, or a fruit or simulated fruit preparation. Examples relate to the preparation of "Vlaflip" yoghourt containing jellied pieces, and a custard with a sauce. |
