Platform providing additional space on small boat - consists of cantilevered board overhanging bows, with extension at each side

The method of increasing the space on a small boat, uses boards (4, 5, 6) which can be mounted on the bows of the craft. The boards are supported to cantilever outwards for a certain distance, and have a total surface area sufficient to support two persons, leaving the remainder of the space of the boat for others. A large central board (4) is secured to the bows by an anchorage (7, 8) in such rear corner. Two smaller side extensions (5, 6) can be attached to the central board by hinges, and can be supported by cross struts (21 to 24) passing through them, anchored in the central board. They can also be supported by channels parallel to the joints between the three boards. The rear anchorages (7, 8) can be designed to overhang the rear edge to prevent tilting.
