PURPOSE:To stabilize printing densities irrespective of temperature change of use enivornments by providing a heating means to a thermal head or thermal head mount and associating a temperature sensing means to this heating means. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 8 is pressure contacted to a roller platen 7 and the recording paper 8 is pressed onto the heating element 10 on a thermal head 9, whereby printing is accomplished. On the other hand, a bar form heating element 12 is buried together with a temperature sensing element 13 in the thermal head mount 11 on which the thermal head 9 is placed. The temperature sensing element 13 detects the temperature of the heating element 12 and automatically controls the current supplied to the heating element 12. Since this causes the temperature of the thermal head mount 11 to be set at the specified fixed teperature, recording may be performed on the recording paper 8 always at an even printing density despite the occurrence of any change in the temperature around the otside. |
