Cutting device for cutting a food item, such as a boiled egg

The cutting device comprises a cutting support (2) with a tray (16) for the food item, and a convertible cutting frame (4), which is placeable in the cutting support and is guided relative to the cutting support in a cutting position for carrying out a cutting process, with cutting wire sections arranged on it. The cutting wire sections overstretch the inner area, which is framed from the cutting frame, from a concerned cutting frame side to other cutting frame side. The tray is pervaded by insertion slots, into which the cutting wire sections are area-wisely immersed. The cutting device comprises a cutting support (2) with a tray (16) for the food item, and a convertible cutting frame (4), which is placeable in the cutting support and is guided relative to the cutting support in a cutting position for carrying out a cutting process, with cutting wire sections arranged on it. The cutting wire sections overstretch the inner area, which is framed from the cutting frame, from a concerned cutting frame side to other cutting frame side. The tray of the cutting support is pervaded by insertion slots, into which the cutting wire sections is area-wisely immersed during placing the cutting frame on the cutting support. The cutting wire sections obliquely pass in relation to a cutting frame plane oriented orthogonal to a moving direction of the cutting frame during placing the cutting frame on the cutting support, so that they pierce through the cutting frame plane. The cutting wire sections are stretched in the cutting frame, so that they lie in straight lines, which cut in plan-view projection on the cutting frame plane in a common central frame point and plane intersection point and which pass parallel to each other. The cutting wire sections in the plan-view projection on the cutting frame plane include equal angles of 60[deg] between them. Six to eight cutting wire sections that run next to each other are provided in the plan-view projection. The cutting wire sections that lie directly next to each other obliquely pass with opposing inclinations in relation to the cutting frame plane, and are related to sections of a wire piece, which is repeatedly deflected around a deflection point on the cutting frame and overstretches the inner area, which is framed from the cutting frame, from a concerned cutting frame side to an other cutting frame side. The cutting frame has a clamping ring (8) holding the cutting wire sections, and a supporting ring (10) radially widenedly supporting the clamping ring and axially extending into the cutting wire sections. The clamping ring is made of plastic and the supporting ring consists of stainless steel. The cutting frame and the cutting support have guide sections complementary to each other. The guide sections permit the placement of the cutting frame on the cutting support in the cutting position only in predetermined orientations and guide the cutting frame on the cutting support linearly during the cutting movement. The cutting frame has a ring-like foot, which has an inner circumferential contour complementary to an outer circumferential contour of the cutting support, so that it is linearly plugged to the cutting support. The cutting frame has a quadratic ring contour and the cutting wire sections are oriented parallel to a diagonal of the quadratic ring contour. The clamping ring, the supporting ring , the foot of the cutting frame and the cutting support are pluggable elements that are detachable from each other. An independent claim is included for a cutting device set.
