The electric unit monitors the condition of a fire extinguisher released by a control member, and is of the type indicating a line breakage. It has a power supply (1) and a line resistance (3) parallel with a switch closed (4) by the member, together with an electrically controlled striker (5). An indicator block (7) shows on the one hand that the equipment is in the proper operating condition, and on the other that there is a fault and/or that the equipment has operated.
