<p>The rubbing tool is for pressing lengths or tiles of carpet or plastics floor covering firmly onto floors. It consists of a weighting member (2), with one or more sliding surfaces (11), rigidly fitted to a handle (1). The weighting member can comprise a cylindrical unit (10), while the sliding surface is rounded. There may be one hard smooth sliding surface, and one soft one (18), the former of metal and the latter a textile strip with a double adhesive strip. The weighting member can be of solid metal, preferably corrosion-resistant or a tube containing a filler, with end sealing discs.</p> |
