PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food product for promoting secretion of insulin, which has high safety, is free of concern of side effects even when ingested continuously, and is effective for prophylaxis or the like of diabetes.SOLUTION: A food product for promoting secretion of insulin contains an HLB-4 to 9 polyglyceryl fatty acid ester as an active ingredient, and consequently has high safety and is free of concern of side effects even when ingested continuously.
