PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large moment of inertia and a low head gravity center.SOLUTION: When a head 1 is virtually divided into six areas of an upper heel area 21, a lower heel area 22, an upper intermediate area 23, a lower intermediate area 24, an upper toe area 25 and a lower toe area 26 by a first virtual horizontal plane P1, a second virtual vertical plane P2 and a third virtual vertical plane P3 in a reference state of the head 1 in which the head 1 is placed on a horizontal plane at prescribed lie angle and loft angle, average specific gravities ρ1 through ρ6 of the areas satisfy the following relationships: ρ1<ρ2, ρ3<ρ4, ρ5<ρ6, ρ4<ρ2, ρ4<ρ6, ρ3<ρ1 and ρ3<ρ5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
