Preferably the urea/urea phosphate complex contains 61.5% urea and 38.5% phosphoric acid (H 3 PO 4 ) which is prepared by reacting phoshoric acid (45-65% P 2 O 5 ) with sufficient urea at 50-80‹C, to give a mixture containing 64-60% urea and 36-40% phosphoric acid and separating the crystals. The animal feed may also contain a base selected from NaOH, KOH lime or magnesia, sulphates, such that the N/S ratio of the final product is equal to at least 13, and vitamins. The impregnated product may also be mixed molasses in the proportion of 0.1-20 parts molasses to 100 parts impregnated feed. |
