The surgical instrument for stitching organs with the aid of metal staples comprises two clamps each having two jaws for clinching and fixing the organs being stitched and pivotally interconnected at one end. The clamp jaws mount magazines with slots for staples, staple pushers, dies with recesses for bending the staples, as well as a device for aligning the organs being stitched. Cases with built-in toothed plates are mounted on each of the jaws in guides providing for limited movement perpendicular to the joint line. One extreme position corresponds to the walls of the organs being stitched and clamped and grasped. The other extreme position corresponds to the instant of organ suturing.
|
