PURPOSE:To reduce the discharging current of a battery when a key switch is forgotten to disconnect by disconnecting a switching means except for signal generating time from a pulse generator for generating a time limit signal and generator voltage detector. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a single pulse generator 8 for generating a time limit signal during predetermined period from after completion of starter operation and a generator detector 9 for detecting the fact that the operation of a generator 1 reaches predetermined state with a controller 10 for controlling the operation of a switching means 6 in response to the outputs from the generator 8 and detector 9. Accordingly, even if the key switch 12 is released in the ON state, the controller 10 does not operate since both the detector 9 and generator 8 are disconnected to thereby cause the exciting coil 4 to flow no current so as to thus reduce the discharging current of a battery 11.
