The solderable connection pillar for printed circuit board (PCB) can be manufactured in strip form and can be inserted in the PCB by machine. Holes (20) in the edging strip (21, 22) allow the strip to be advanced automatically. The pillar (23) is formed by folding flat strip (24) longitudinally to provide rigidity. The pillar has a tapered end section (12) which is inserted in the PCB. Two shoulders (13, 14) limit the depth of insertion and provide a soldering area with the PCB conductor strip. The opposite end is cut into a U shape to take component leads. |
