The packing comprises a single sheet cut to form base, and side and end walls, particularly of corrugated paper or cardboard. At the ends of the side (4) or end walls hollow corner members (16) are formed, each folded into a straight prisma tic shape. In the erected state these are self-supporting, and are joined to the end or side walls as the case may be. The members can be of square, rectangular or triangular section, and formed by extensions on the wall ends. They are folded into shape while the sheet is still flat and secured in position to their respective walls, typically by gluing.
