The regular valve for engine fuel systems consists of a cylindrical housing (1) divided into two by a diaphragm (11) which has a central plate by which the control valve is held against the seat (9) under the action of a coil spring (24). An air-vent is combined with a spring-tensioning device (27) in the centre of the cap. The inlet and outlet orifices (43, 44) run in parallel through a block (40) which is screwed to the base of the valve housing. The inlet opens upwards into the chamber beneath the diaphragm. The outlet is connected to the vertical tube which passes through the central support pillar, the upper end of which forms the valve seating.
