Brake for tractor or construction machine - with brakes mounted on intermediate drive shaft extensions on outside of transmission housing

The tractor brake has a drive shaft (12) parallel to the rear axle (7, 8) and set between the gearbox and the back axle. The ends of the intermediate axle are extended out of the tractor housing on each side and are terminated in separate brake housings (27, 28). The additional brakes provide improved brake grip for heavy tractors. The additional brakes are linked to the normal hydraulic brakes as well as any manual parking brake lever (30). They provide a simple additional brake control without any extra effort by the driver.
