Aerial towed target balloon with collapsible envelope - is filled with hit indicating coloured gas and sinks to ground slowly

The aircraft towed target has its body connected to the aircraft by a rope used also for target deformation. This target indicates hits without use of wireless transmitters and it will sink slowly to ground without any additional equipment. The towed target is a streamlined stable balloon with foldable envelope. This radar beam reflecting envelope accommodates a gas cartridge which is ignited when the balloon is extended and fills the balloon with gas at pressure. The gas is coloured and generates such a pressure that in case of a hit coloured gas is emitted. When the rope is disconnected then the balloon collapses and gas flows out and the target sinks to the ground slowly.
