The stabilisers are arranged in pairs across the pool and are joined by cables (23) fixed to the brackets (21) and embedded in the slab of ice (9). Ice formation is traditional with floating refrigerating units and the stability of the slab of ice is achieved by bedding the interior bracket into it.
