<p>Appts. for continuous extrusion of an elasto-plastic, e.g. sticky rubber product with a thread core centrally embedded in it comprises an extruder and an extrusion head. The outlet nozzle from the extrusion head has a straight outlet duct following a tapering duct which, in longitudinal section, is curved, or cup-shaped. Inside the injection head a hollow, longitudinally adjustable spindle feeds the core thread coaxially into the space upstream of the straight duct. Pref. the outlet duct and concave tapering region are polished. Used for continuous prod of sealing strip such as in used for automobile doors and bodywork. The apparatus enables a strip to be produced, in which the core thread is of exactly the same length as the extruded material, i.e. does not contain coils or trists within the material. Also, the material is solidly extruded around the core thread so that it does not flatten when rolled up on a spool.</p> |
