<p>The machine is of the type in which each egg is held in a vertical position while the tip of its base is cut off. The top of the egg is then perforated and low pressure air blown in to discharge the contents through the hole in the base. The improvement is that the holding device to convey eggs through the machine comprises a flat plate with a number of spaced, egg-locating holes. The dia. of each hole is such that the egg can sit almost half-way down into the hole without passing through. On the egg-receiving side of the plate, spaced, spring gripper blades rise around each hole. The blades are inclined slightly inwards towards the axis of the hole. Used for breaking eggs for industrial bakeries and confectionery factories. Eggs are handled individually and contents do not contact shell exterior. This ensures maintenance of hygiene standards combined with industrial scale productive capacity.</p> |
