PURPOSE:In a belt silicon cystallizer which utilizes the clamping and friction forces of a pair of rolls to lift a belt type silicon crystal, means for roll clamp adjustment is provided so that the dies are not lifted up when the crystal adheres with the dies. CONSTITUTION:A belt type silicon crystal growing through a pair of the dies 24a, 24b is clamped by a pair of rotatable roller 21a, 21b and lifted upwards. The clamping force of the rollers 21a, 21b is adjusted by the springs 22a, 22b attached to the roller supporters so that the rollers will not lifted up by racing when the dies adhere with the growing crystal. Accordingly the dies are not lifted up when the adhesion accurs, and as a result the temperature distribution is not disturbed at the upper portion of the dies, thus providing a uniform width and thickness silicon belt crystal. |
