The generator has a rotating magnet wheel with permanent magnts on its periphery which have alternating polarity. They interact with a stationary armature carrying the generator winding. The armature consists of two claw-type pole discs (31, 32) with pole claws (33, 34) between which the annular winding (15) is mounted on a support (21) in a sleeve-like section (35, 36) which magnetically connects the two pole discs. The number of the claw pole pieces is equal to that of poles on the pole wheel.
