The invention is concerned with reducing the respirable fraction of sprays produced from an aerosol hairspray package. An improvement is obtained by combining in the package a hairspray composition of particular viscosity, a propellant system producing a particular vapour pressure for discharging the hairspray composition through a mechanical break-up actuator with an actuator of which the cross-sectional area of the swirl channels, the diameter of the spray orifice and the diameter of the swirl chamber have a particular relationship. |
