<p>The roller accumulating conveyor has its rollers rotated by friction transmitted from a belt, with the transmission of the rotation force dependent on the turning position of the rollers. The drive (6) of those conveyor track sections(1) on which the conveyed material is accumulated can be switched over for a short period to move in the opposite direction to the normal conveyor movement. The drive is then resumed in the normal direction. A control installation monitoring the volume of accumulated material may be installed either at the beginning or at the end of a conveyor track section.</p> |
