<p>PURPOSE:To improve the compression moldability of a sheet molding composition composed of a thermoplastic resin sheet laminated with a non-woven fiber mat for reinforcing use, by adding a foaming agent to the thermoplastic resin thereby raising a part of the fiber to the surface of the composite sheet and reducing the stickiness of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic sheet 2 is extruded by an extruder 1, and sprayed with a foaming agent by spray guns 12. Non-woven mat for reinforcement 3 (pref. composed of glass fiber having a diameter of 5-20 mu, and a length of >=5 cm) are laminated to both faces of the sheet 2. The composite sheet is, if necessary, laminated with overlay films 5, pressed with a pair or press rolls 6 to effect the migration of the foaming agent into the thermoplastic resin sheet 2. The composite sheet is pressed with cooling rolls 8, cut with a cutter 9, and stacked in a case 10.</p> |
