PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement in recording speed with a simple construction by providing one discharge orifice fischarging recording medium liquid and two liquid chambers communicating therewith and controlling the pressure of both liquid chambers with pressing means. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 1 consists of one discharge orifice 2 and two liquid chambers 5, 6 communicating therewith through nozzles 3, 4. Pressing means consisting of diaphragms 7, 8 and piezoelectric elements 9, 10 are provided to the liquid chambers 5, 6. The movement in the x direction of dot matrix is accomplished by the head 1 and recording in the y direction is accomplished by controlling the discharge direction of liquid drops of the orifiece 2. Since this causes liquid drops to be discharged through the orifice 2 by the vector synthesis of the momentum of the liquid from the nozzle 3 and nozzle 4, smooth recording may be accomplished by controlling the applied voltages of the piezoelectric elements 9, 10 and controlling the flying direction of the liquid drops. |
