<p>The parcel handling and sorting machine deflects the parcels from a main distribution path, or regroups them on this path from different directions, without damaging them. The system comprises a main conveyor with cross-members (8), each of the latter equipped with a secondary conveyor working towards one side or the other at right angles to the travel direction of the main one. The combination of the two travel movements determines the paths followed by the parcels. The main conveyor can comprise two continuous lateral chains running over sprockets keyed to the opposite ends of horizontal shafts. The hollow pins of the chain links support the ends of the cross-members.</p> |
