Electrolytic capacitor with aluminium electrodes - and electrolyte contg. di:ethylene glycol ether, alkanolamine and acid

Electrolytic capacitor comprises >=1 of which is roughened and provided with a layer of dielectric material, sepd. by a spacer impregnated with electrolyte. The electrode solvent is (or includes) >=1 diethyleneglycol ether (I) and the ionogenic material is >=1 mono- or poly-valent or substd. alkanolamine plus >=1 acid and/or an alkanolamine salt of this acid. Pref. (I) is the monomethyl ether opt. mixed with ethylene glycol and/or diethylene glycol monoethyl ether. The electrolyte may contain =18 wt% water. Electrolyte has low toxidity, high flash point, good electrical properties and long lifetime over a wide temp. range, at least between -40 and 85 degrees C. The alkanolamine increases solubility of most ion sources in (I).
