Attachment device holds the lower section of a lamp onto the support rail of a lighting track or to a lighting housing. There is a plastics double crossbar (3) held under spring tension and springing in an axial direction within the lamps lower section and fitting in both open and closed positions, the arms (31) have a clamping fit when in the closed position over the ledges (11) of the support rails (1) thus drawing the lower section of the lamp (2) and the support rails (1) closer together.
