PURPOSE:To obtain a both side printer of easier-to-read printed characters and higher printing speed by printing characters, symbols, etc. on the front side of paper by striking with a hammer mechanism and printing the codes corresponding to the abovementioned characters and symbols on the back side through deposition of toner. CONSTITUTION:A printing hammer mechanism 5 is provided on the front side of paper 2 and a positive electrode 6 applied with a high voltage opposing to the hammer mechanism 5 and a block 7 provided parallel to the positive electrode 6 are provided on the back side. The hammer mechanism 5 strikes the required front 8 which has the type face engraved in convex form with the required characters, symbols, etc. and the codes corresponding thereto onto the paper 2 via ink ribbon 11 with the block 7 as a pressure receiving member, thereby printing the required characters on the front side of the paper with the character part 8a of the font 8. At the same time, these are electrostatically recorded on the electrostatic recording layer on the back of the paper 2 by the code part 8b engraved to the code part 8b of the font 8 and the positive electrode 6. The electrostatic recording images are then visualized in a toner developing part and are dried, baked and fixed in a drying part 14, whereby electrostatic printing is accomplished. |
