PURPOSE:To fast and surely perform the rearranging work for rolls independently of the diameter and axial height of the roll neck, in case of rearrangement of rolls of the rolling mill, by employing a roll rearraging apparatus provided with two special mechanisms elevating independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:The rearranging apparatus 6 for working rolls 1, 2, of the rolling mill 5, is provided with the first support 62 (fitted into the concave groove 110 of the upper surface 11 of the neck of the roll 1 and is caught being pushed from the upside), and the second support 63 (fitted into the concave groove of the lower surface 12 of the neck of the roll 1 and is caught being pushed from the lower side), and another support (for rearrangement of the work roll 2) being provided with the similar mechanism as stated above. The rolls 1, 2, are supported in a cantilever state by the spparatus 6, which moves backward along the rail 7, and replaces old rolls 1, 2, with new rolls 1, 2, and supports them similarly to above, and moves in the reverse direction, and installs them in the rolling mill 5. As compared with the conventional method, the fitting into the roll neck becomes quick and easy, and the rearrangement of rolls 1, 2, can be surely performed. |
