PURPOSE:To obtain the desired time by forming the delay line with the conductive meterial featuring a large extension rate and then stretching out the delay line in accordance with the necessary delay time. CONSTITUTION:The necessary length of the delay line is set smaller than T which means the necessary delay time. This delay line is stretched out up to the fixed time T via an appropriate stretching device while measuring the delay time. According to the stretching, both the core wire and the insulating material feature the analogous reduction, and thus the characteristic impedance does not change substantially for the signal transmission line. In other words, the delay time can be changed without affecting the characteristic impedance. |
