PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric type mechanical filter whose piezoelectric element can be selected easily and which is large in mechanical strength and uses a twist converter. CONSTITUTION:Both flanks 212 and 122 of cylinder 12, made of a constantly- elastic metal material whose oscillation frequency is nearly zero in temperature coefficient, are cut in a plane shape. Nearly in the middle between the both, lateral- effect piezoelectric elements, namely, piezoelectric elements 42 and 43 expanding and contracting perpendicularly to an applied electric field are adhered with their longish directions tilted at an angle of approximate 45 deg. against the axis of cylinder 12 and in the same direction viewed from both the surfaces. The polarization directions of both piezoelectric elements are in the same direction. On the top surface and reverse surface of piezoelectric elements 42 and 43, electrodes for applying an electric field are formed; the electrode on the top surface connects to lead wires 53 and 54, and the electrode on the reverse surface connects to the cylinder of the metal body electrically and to earth lead wire 55. |
