ALCOHOL PROCESS

摘要

A process for the production of alcohols in which in a reaction zone olefins are directly hydrated in the presence of a catalyst, at least a portion of the reaction product is passed from the reaction zone to a scrubbing zone where it is contacted with a lean absorbent, at least a portion of the fresh olefin feed is introduced in the scrubbing zone as a stripping agent for organic impurities,a liquid alcohol-containing product stream and an overhead gas stream are recovered from the scrubbing zone and the said overhead stream is recycled to the reaction zone.
