The sea bed excavator has a surface support platform fitted with winches regulating the lengths of the carrier cable and the guide cable. The guide pulleys are mounted one above the other to maintain the cables in the same vertical plane. They can thus be brought on the same side of the support. Pulleys connect the cables and allow a bucket to be brought to a position opposite the zone being excavated to the zone where the debris is deposited. A stop limits the movement.
