The protable hand held instrument is used to measure germs in given air volume to perform checks on microbiological pollution. This permits preservation of hygiene - public places or for medical activities. Heating element (6) in the nozzle (1) heats air drawn through to a receptacle (2) by turbine (11) driven by an electric motor (12). The heater is switched off and sterilising action occurs within seconds after which internal cavities are cooled by air sample. The motor is switched off to allow opening of the receptacle to introduce appropriate culture. The receptacle is closed to allow the turbine to draw polluted air through it. The culture is then incubated in laboratory.
